Market Street

Bicycling on Market Street in San Francisco is the story of characters in motion. The scene is busy and largely irrelevant. Many cyclists are commuters, but some are tourists, people just getting from A to B, or some eccentric person doing their thing. Panning with the cyclists as they ride by captures the sense of speed while freezing each character. Using a monochrome high key process removes the extraneous details from the scene. Taking some inspiration from Mondrian and Warhol, the final artwork puts them all together.
